World’s 1st-ever Dual Touch Screen Laptop from Toshiba

Let’s welcome the Toshiba Libretto W100, the world’s first-ever dual touch screen laptop manufactured by TOSHIBA in celebration of their 25th anniversary. The laptop weighs 819 grams and it runs on Windows OS. With its two screens, you can use the laptop as an e-book reader and a fully-functional laptop too.  Both of the two screens allow for multitouch and each measures 17.8 centimeters.

Animate Sketches with SCRIBBLE

Students from the University of Michigan successfully came up with the SCRIBBLE. It is a handheld touch screen, sketchpad-like gadget which can turn a series of sketches and drawings into animations – instantly.

The Scribble follows the principle of the ‘flip book’. Basically, you have to draw a series of images and then the Scribble plays it back in order to come up with the illusion of movement. You can save whatever you draw on it and once you have stored the file, you can then edit your drawing. This gadget bagged grand prize in a toy design competition sponsored by University of Michigan College of Engineering’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Giddy Up Toys. Continue reading
