Leaving a small glass of sherry and a carrot for Rudolph have long been popular traditions for families all over the world, but why stop there? There are some great ideas around that will make the whole concept of Santa seem all the more real to the little ones. Leave food outside to show that the reindeers have been (a simple mix of glitter and oats is fine), or leave sooty footprints by the fireplace (as long as you don’t mind having to clean them up again) – use your imagination and go wild!
