Solar Panels, Anyone?
Have you noticed that there seems to be something wrong with the planet now? Earthquakes, floods, tsunami, typhoons, and the occurrence of other natural disasters are becoming more frequent now. As a mom, I care a lot about my kids and the world they grow up in and call me paranoid but sometimes, I can’t help but wonder how long the planet will be around in its current state.
This is why I’m trying to promote green living. Less use of plastic, use of eco bags, use of LED and other energy efficient appliances, and right now, I’m looking at putting up solar panels. Most stay-at-home moms are now becoming work-at-home moms or home-based entrepreneurs. With this change however, comes STRESS.
Let’s examine what the usual, modern stay-at-home mom does minus her attempts to earn an income: From the moment the kids get up, to when they get ready for and get home from school, to the minute they go to bed, a mom is on duty. She can’t relax while they are at school either. She needs to clean, prepare meals, run errands and – if she’s lucky, she can enjoy a little time for herself. With modern moms however, there is a very thin chance of having ‘Me Time’ – because the ‘Me Time’ is spent on attempts to make money – online or offline.
