Staying In a Hotel Room With a Toddler

Published by:

We have only been to a hotel once or twice with my toddlers and I’m lucky that they have enjoyed every minute of their stay in the hotel room and we didn’t had a “fight” before bedtime. I know that most toddlers find it hard to stay in a hotel room in the same way that most of us adults find it hard to stay or sleep somewhere we’ve never been to before. Toddlers are generally not a big fan of hotel rooms – not unless it’s a room from one of those disney hotels and it pretty much looks like a playground.

I think the easiest way to make your toddler feel “at home” inside a hotel room is to bring things that will instantly remind her of home. Make sure you bring your kid’s fave pillows, blankets, and some of his/her favorite toys too. If you can, try to find a hotel room which looks a bit like your toddler’s room maybe not in terms of the design and fixtures but with the layout.

Merry Xmas Everyone!

Published by:

Some people spend their Christmases with their families at home, exchanging gifts, and eating a sumptuous Noche Buena. Others go to parties and surround themselves with fab Luxury Christmas Decorations, fancy food, fire crackers and entertaining performances. There are also some of us who just huddle together, pray, and just share and celebrate over whatever they have – no matter if it may seem too little based on common standards.

No matter how you have spent or how you will be spending your Christmas, I hope you have done your part in giving part of the many blessings you have received to people who are really in need. It can be in cash, in kind, in positive thoughts or feelings, a simple hug, a greeting, or anything that can make someone in need feel happy and blessed. Let us all share the Christmas that we have and never forget that it is the Love For and Of GOD for all of us that we are celebrating today.

Kids and Nosebleed: Why it happens and What to do

Published by:

For a mom, seeing your child bleeding from her nose can be pretty scary. I know because I totally freaked out when my eldest daughter (3 y/o) had a nosebleed. Unfortunately, nosebleeds are common. It happens to a lot of kids – both the young ones and those in their teenage years. The good news however, is that most nosebleeds are not due to a medical problem.

The cause of nosebleeds are often unknown. However, nosebleeds among kids usually happen when they blow their nose hard or when they blow their nose too frequently. It also happens when they irritate the inside of their nose with their long fingernails or with sticks of pencils. If your kid bumps his/her face, that could also cause injury to the blood vessels of his mucous membrane. Even too cold, too humid, or too warm weather can sometimes cause damages to the mucous membrane and that can result to nose bleeding. Going to high places – where the air is thin and oxygen is decreased – can also cause nosebleeds.

Dealing with Expenses, Recurring Payments, Budgeting, and Other Stuff

Published by:

In times like these (and I’m referring to both the Christmas season and the fact that times are hard and most people earn just enough for their needs), people should really learn how to manage their expenses.

I think the most common problem with regards to managing expenses is that (a) some tend to spend more than what they earn and (b) others spend more for things they want and forget to (or avoid) paying for what they need.

Name it, there’s a GPS device for it

Published by:

I am a not-so techie person (although I’m a wanna be) and so I was amazed to find out that GPS systems are not just for military operations or for traffic navigation for drivers and commuters. In fact, I think there is a specific GPS device that you can use for every different outdoor activity nowadays. There are GPS devices for golf, for fishing, and for cycling.
