As a tech-blogger wanna-be, it’s my dream to attend an international electronics show such as the KES 2011 or the Korea Electronics Show. In this event, more than a thousand companies from thirty different countries will display the products that they specialize on. This includes multimedia tech, semiconductors, displays, mobile phones, computers, and more.

What Makes KES 2011 More Exciting

The Korean Electronics Industry has existed for more than five decades now. It has developed rapidly over the years and it is considered as one of the most important threshold to the international markets. In fact, Korean electronics production has already ranked No. 4 in the world. By taking part of the KES 2011 which is Korea’s biggest electronics show, you will become part of Korea’s electronic industry history. You will be a witness to how Korean electronics have developed and evolved through the years.

Now aside from mainstream consumer electronics, convergence solutions will also be presented in the Korea Electronics Show 2011. They will also display digital kits, wearable computing, and my favorite – green technology. Such presentations on convergence solutions will provide electronics users, suppliers, and manufacturers insights on the prevalent and the future trends of global markets and advanced innovations.

One more thing which makes KES 2011 extra special is the fact that it is affiliated with the AEECC (Asia Electronics Exhibition Cooperation Committee). The AEECC will conduct major IT exhibitions in Asia and these include CEATEC, Japan (Oct 4 – Oct 8); TAITRONICS, Taiwan (Oct 10 to Oct 13); and the Hong Kong Electronics Fair, Hong Kong (Oct 12 to Oct 15). Buyers from North America, Europe, Middle East will be on an Asian IT show pilgrimage then.

KES 2011 Details

KES 2011 will be the 42nd Korea Electronics Show. “Be smArt!” is the chosen theme for the exhibit and it will cover various types of technologies – ICT, Imaging and Solutions, Multimedia and Home Entertainment, Living Consumer Electronics, Car Electronics and Securities, Convergence and Other applications, Modules, and Parts and Materials. It will be held at the KINTEX (Korea Int’l Exhibition Center) which has an exhibition area of 53,541㎡. Approximately 70,000 guests are expected and 800 exhibitors. The exhibit will be open from Oct 12 to Oct 15 and it will be hosted by the Korea Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Gyeonggi Province and it is organized by KEA (Korea Electronics Association) and ETNews.co.kr.
