Finding a Motivation to Lose Weight

They say that one of the reasons that a weight loss plan fails is one’s lack of motivation. And, I think I have this problem. Losing weight is all about self discipline and control. Now, if you lack the inspiration to limit yourself, then how will you go about fulfilling your plan. That is my dilemma that I should try to solve as soon as possible… Anyway, here is my entry for Ria’s Blogversary contest which I blogged about before HERE.

What is your weight loss/health and fitness goal for this year and how do you intend to achieve this?

My weight loss plan is simple. To lose at least twenty pounds before my 26th birthday and perhaps lose a total of 30 pounds this year. To do this, I’m planning to…

  • Skip sodas. When I was still single, I don’t drink sodas and I should learn to resist overly “sugared” drinks again like I did before.
  • Exercise everyday. I had this special tummy exercise that worked effectively in keeping my tummy flab free before. I am trying this again – though not that frequently because my CS operation was just a year ago.
  • Limit my food intake. When I was pregnant with my twins, I was made to eat so much because the o.b. told me that it’s important for each of my twins to weigh at least 5 pounds when they are born. I did and aside from having healthy baby girls who weighed more than 6 pounds each, I also gained extra pounds that I need to lose now. So, I have to start skipping midnight snacks and minimize my rice intake to a cup every meal.

I still do not know how I can motivate myself more… but I hope I can find that motivation soon.
